The Launch of V Australia has Opened Alaska & Mexico Cruising to Everyone

With the introduction of V Australia, the skies are now are fare friendly with flights to the USA are as appetising as they come.  In terms of cruising this opens a whole new market up to those looking to sample areas of the world that are value for money and yet some of the most awe inspiring and magnificent destinations one could wish to explore.

A skip up the coast from LA is the gateway to Alaska and the world renowned inside passage which leads to Glacier Bay National Park. I have sailed this region multiple times and each voyage still offers unique surprises alongside world class scenery and insight into Native American culture.  The panorama is ever changing with carving glaciers, heli-tours through an abundance of icy peaks, husky dog sledding, annual salmon runs, bear and whale watching and gorgeous gold mine villages. Alaska is of course attached to the majestic Canadian Rockies, best seen by land or rail. Winding through this rugged range has left even the most avid traveller stirred and there is no wonder that it is constantly rated as one of the most beautiful journeys in the world. Heading south from LA you could easily choose to cruise to the vibrant and colourful Mexican Riviera. In Mexico you are in for a completely different experience – it is all about the food, shopping, beaches and flamboyant people – but did I mention the food?? Not only does Mexico have underrated scenic beauty which directly relates to its hot weather, gorgeous beaches and bath-like water temperatures, you can pick up handmade bargains, eat and drink like a king and be entertained by be musicians and dancers Mexican style. Mexican Riviera is definitely all about relaxing and enjoying the finer things in life. Again, the convenience of cruising the coastline simply means you are seeing the best ports of call in the comfort and convenience of a well appointed vessel.
