Blog directly from Oasis of the Seas!

We have just spent our first day on board the much anticipated ‘Oasis of the Seas’ – the world’s biggest cruise line and it has definitely lived up to all the hype!
Check in took us just 12 minutes this morning – unbelievable for such a huge ship. Interestingly check in is on the actual deck levels.

So far we have been amazed by what we have seen and their is a definite WOW factor around every corner. The decor is spectacular – far from the usual ‘tacky Vegas style’. Entry to the ship is via the Promenade deck which is like walking into a village area. There is a wide promenade up the centre with dining options, bars etc aplenty with a nightly Disney style themed parade put on as entertainment. Tonight’s theme was the 70′s!

Walking through Central Park is spectacular with over 12,000 plants. Being open air it really feels unbelievable that we are actually on a ship! The inside cabins face onto Central Park.

Tonight we were entertainment by ‘Abbacadabra’ a live Abba show in the Opal Theatre - truly spectacular. Tomorrow we’ll get to see ‘Hairspray’ – the first Broadway show ever to appear on a cruise ship.

Check in tomorrow for more details of this truly amazing ship!

  1. I would love to go on the ship. It looks awesome! It’s like something out of Waterworld – a floating city!
