Cunard have released the 2011 fares for their World Voyage program. The program, which includes a number of historic Australian cruising events will feature a “royal rendezvous” between the Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth, the newest ocean liner in Sydney Harbour on 22 February.
Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth will begin her epic cruise from the UK, calling at 32 maiden ports around the world. Visiting Sydney as one of her first maiden Australian port calls, the Queen Elizabeth will continue onto Melbourne on 25 February 2011, followed by Fremantle on 01 March.
Queen Mary 2 in the meantime will call at Fremantle on 17 February, Adelaide on 20 February before the ‘royal rendezvous’ in Sydney.
Before reaching Australia, a first in Cunards history will already have occured when the three Cunard Queens – Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria – will meet on 13 January in New York.
Passengers will have a chance to sail on all three ships in one world voyage! Australian passengers could first fly to the UK and board the Queen Victoria in Southampton to sail to New York. In New York, transfer to Queen Elizabeth and sail to Sydney before joining Queen Mary in Sydney for the return trip to the UK.
